PTA Fall Halloween Carnival!!!

We had an awesome time at this year's carnival! Emyley and I got right in the thick of things by helping to set up the carnival. We were very busy starting on Thursday and right up til carnival time on Friday night! It was fun, though, and she got to spend some time with her friends! Thanks, Joni, for the picture!!

As for the costumes, the girls all got to be who they wanted this year. Usually they are stuck with whatever I picked up on clearance the year before...such a bad mom, I know! ;o) Anyway, Emyley was bat girl, Hayley was Elizabeth from Pirates, and Sydney was the Bad Spirit Cheerleader. I was a witch with my adorable carnival t-shirt on!

My friend, Kathleen, did a super job at organizing this year's carnival! It was so amazing all of the activities she had going on, all the food that was offered and all the people who came to enjoy it! She is awesome!!!

As I sorted through all the pictures we took, I was getting bogged down thinking of how much work this would be to put together. Then Sydney, who was looking over my shoulder, suggested a.....drumroll please......SLIDE SHOW!!!! YAY!! So, here it is! Enjoy!!

Minshew Student Council!!!

Sydney overcame her shyness and ran for Student Council for the second year in a row! This year she was elected 5th Grade Class Representative for her class. Friday, we were invited to watch as all the student council electees were inducted! It was a very nice ceremony, and I unfortunately forgot my camera. So this pic is from my phone. And, she also got rave reviews at the parent/teacher conference along with many 4's on her report card! Go, Sydney!!!

Blue Ribbon Colt!!!

Hayley was selected as the Blue Ribbon Colt recipient for October in Mrs. Parham's 1st Grade Class!! We are all so very proud of her! She also received many 4's (A+ equivalent) on her 1st 9 weeks report card and received a rave review from her teacher at the parent/teacher conference! We couldn't be happier! Yay, Hayley!!

A GREAT Day!!!!

It may be raining cats and dogs today, but the sun is shining on me!
And this may look like any old ordinary box, but it is the best thing any FedEx man could've brought to me! Any guesses?????

How about now????

If you guessed, my long awaited, much anticipated, brand spanking new laptop, then you would be CORRECT!!!!

For those who don't know, let me recap. I bought a wonderful, CUTE little hp laptop in February. Occassionally it would give me the dreaded blue screen error, then sometimes it would just not come on. Then one fateful Friday at the end of July, it just died! Calls to the hp service center did no good, and they said to send it in. Luckily it was still under warranty. Well, they got my laptop on Aug 2nd, we had to call them many times for updates (they never called us), the part that was needed was backordered, then Bill finally got mean with them, and they agreed to send a new computer. That was 3 1/2 weeks ago. They had 2 more days before we both got mean with them! But today, after a rushed and wet morning of errands, we got home just in time to greet the FedEx man with my shiny new computer. It is a much better model than I had (faster, more memory, blah, blah, blah), but I didn't get my hard drive back, even though that was not the issue! Oh, well, I will live and my kids will be sooooooo happy to have their computer back to themselves!!! YAY!!

Subscribe for Updates!

One of my online friends, Jen, has a great feature on her blog powered by FeedBlitz that I just had to add to my blog! It allows people to subscribe to my blog and receive emails when there are new posts to read! So, if you don't want to miss anything exciting here in Mullen-world, then be sure to subscribe by entering your email address in the box on the left! Thanks, Jen for the great tool!!!!

Family Pictures at Disney World

Okay, I know everyone thought that the Disney posting was over, but I do have a couple more blogs left to do. This blog is to show you the family pictures that we had taken at Disney. The Cinderella picture was included in our lunch at the castle, and the picture in front of the castle was our last ditch attempt to use photopass! Enjoy!

Fall Halloween Carnival

It's that time of year again, and the PTA at our school has been super busy getting ready for the Fall Halloween Carnival! One of the ways that they get the students excited is by sponsoring a Poster Contest. There will be two winners from each grade level and those winning posters are then displayed in local businesses to help promote the carnival. All other posters that were entered, are displayed throughout the school. Of course, the Mullen girls had to participate and Emyley couldn't be left out either (although, hers will not be an offiical entry in the contest...lol). So here are their creations. We'll have to keep you posted on if they are winning creations!!
