Daisies at the Fire Station

The Daisies got to take a tour of McKinney Fire Station #5. The girls had lots of questions...well, the moms had lots of questions. The girls did enjoy seeing the fireman change in and out of his gear...well, the moms enjoyed....LOL!! It was fun and I can't believe how handy those fire trucks are. They can hold so much gear and there is a special place for every little thing.

Do You Know These Children?

I hosted an Uppercase Living demonstration at my home. I knew that most of my friends would need to bring their children over...no biggie...but let me tell you there were many moments when we were afraid the ceiling was about to crash on our heads!! I had an undercover spy in the playroom and here's some of the evidence of what occurred....do you know these children???

Valentine's Dinner at Spoons

We have this really awesome cafe downtown called Spoons, and for Valentine's Day they had a special dinner that included decorating a cupcake or ice cream sundae. The girls and I had a great time!! Okay, the guys did, too (papa got to come with us)...but well, you know...

My glasses, my glasses, I can't find my glasses....

The girls found these really cool "glasses" at Claire's. I think they look really smart in them. Emyley liked pretending that hers were reading glasses and would take them off and put them on in a perfect imitation of Mrs. Durrick, her teacher!

Time for Tea

Hayley's Brownie Troop decided to have an old fashioned tea party for their February Meeting. Each girl brought a snack and a tea cup. They tasted different types of tea. Emyley helped with the serving, so she earned a special patch, too.

Sydney's First Violin Recital

For the Orchestra students to get ready for their upcoming solo contest, they held a recital where they each got to play their solo. The were grouped with other musicians who were playing the same arrangement. Sydney chose to play "Go Tell Aunt Rhody". She did an amazing job and helped out backstage after her performance. We are very proud!
